Well it’s been a busy couple of weeks and no mistake! But then again for me that’s normal, having two jobs, three kids, a wife, charity work and a church to help run.
But it’s all good work and keeps me out of trouble.
On top of all of that, I have dedicated quite a bit of my spare time (spare time! ha ha ha) to projects that will be uploaded and run through this website.
These projects are not only being done for fun, make no mistake though, they are fun! They are being done to entertain and give something back to the visitors here at DustyGhost.com, and give them a reason to come back later.
There are three distinct projects I am working on:
- A webcomic (more on this in a future post).
- Void Platoon (more on this in a future post).
- Collectable models (more on this in…..oh you get it by now)
I know, I know, this does not really tell you much. But I promise to give you more ASAP.
There is a lesson I have learned over the last few weeks, and that’s importance of planning and timekeeping. Katie and I use Google Calender for all our time planning, who’s going to be where and when, and I have put time in there dedicated purely to this work mentioned above. In addition to that I have set out some goals, and have made a plan on how to achieve them.
It’s amazing how getting it all down on paper (even digital paper) can get you focused and moving in the right direction. I don’t want to turn into my own police state, but I do want to get focused and progress. So far a bit of planning is going a long way towards that.
It’s great actually as I have found a new motivation to get these projects up and running, and I have the full backing of my wife and family who are helping me out as much as they can behind the scenes. I love them all very much for their support, and more besides!
Also I have been working on the websites themselves, putting functionality in place that will bring all three of these projects together, and working on some designs for the look and feel of the sites. It will be a couple of weeks before the sites are where I want them to be, but as the three projects above progress, so will the sites. The main issue with all of this is that from the front end, everyone visiting the sites are not seeing a lot going on. In fact if you look at the sites now compared to say two weeks ago, the only real difference is this post.
All I can say is: Hang in there! It’s all happening, just not publicly yet. But soon….. so soon!
So, that’s all I have at the moment. So for now, this is me signing of.
I’ll check in next week.
