So, as I’m sure those of you who have visited the site before will notice by now, things are starting to look a bit different here at DustyGhost.com. We have been working hard on making the site look a lot more and less sterile.
We have added a background that was created by Craig, and I think it makes the whole site look a ton better!
We also have a new logo for the site in progress, with the goal of making the current logo look a bit less bland and boring. So far the drafts I have seen from Craig have been fantastic, so stay tuned for that one!
Also both Craig and I have been franticly working on some tutorials for your viewing pleasure. Craig has some videos in the works, and I have a couple how-to articles in the creation machine now.
You will note, for those of you keeping tabs, that there has been no Fidget, Didget and Midget this week. In fact some people have asked if last week was the last one ever. There is actually one more strip to upload for this comic before I can call Season 1 complete.
Sadly the last couple of weeks have been murder for me, and my spare time has been spent setting up site code, adapting the new look and feel, and creating tutorial content. Also I have been opening a new site! So I have been unable to complete this week’s strip in time.
I promise to get it done though, and will upload it ASAP. I also acknowledge this has happened one time too many over the last few months, so I have to find a way to stop that frequency of lack. 🙂
What is this new site I was just talking about?
It’s probably not interesting at all to most people coming to the main DustyGhost.com website. However, I have worked as a software developer for around 12 years and have accumulated a number of bits of useful code I keep in files on my computer at work. I mostly use these files as reminders how to do a certain tasks.
I felt that I needed easier access to this code, and also thought other people on the internet might find some of it useful. So, I am transporting most of these code examples to Dusty’s Code Bytes found at www.codebytes.dustyghost.com
A lot going as you can see. We have a lot of busy work, and I hope the momentum should speed up as we go!
